Psycho killer Robert Durst, captured yesterday March 14, 2015 by deputies from a New Orleans Sheriff’s Office, is finally in jail and being held without bond.
The infamous prisoner, now 71, has been wanted in connection with the unsolved killing of a close friend some 15 years ago, as well as the 2001 murder and dismemberment of a next-door neighbor.
Durst is also suspected in his first wife’s suspicious disappearance back in 1982. Sources say the warrant for his arrest originates from California and may be related, but he remains for the time being in Louisiana pending official transfer.
The contents of Durst’s arrest warrant have otherwise not been divulged.
Born in tony Scarsdale New York, the senior-citizen serial killer hails from a wealthy family whose mega-millions were made in real estate.
Money no doubt played a part in how he’s eluded justice for some time now, but it looks as if that luxury holiday has just ended, in exchange for all-expense-paid lodging of a far humbler kind.
Coincidently (or not) HBO’s episodic documentary The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst has recently been airing, and the conclusion was scheduled to be shown this very evening.
However, considering this latest case development, it may be in need of an immediate rewrite.
