FBI: Is This Woman Ashley Summers?

Mar 12, 2015 - 0 Comments

The FBI is asking for the public’s assistance in helping them identify a female suspect still at large who they believe was abducted as a girl in 2007 from Cleveland Ohio.

Surveillance images of an individual thought to strongly resemble long missing teen Ashley Summers was recently retrieved from an ATM location in Rhode Island.

She and one unknown male are said to be responsible for a string of crimes that will someday sadly see Summer’s lookalike in handcuffs instead of happily reunited with loved ones, if indeed she is the former kidnap victim.

To those ends, the agency has now launched a billboard and social media campaign, hoping someone can positively ID the mystery woman as Ms. Summers, or at the very least provide a name for the man seen with her on bank security feed.

The two are being sought by police in connection with numerous burglaries and identity-theft schemes committed nationwide.

Missing and most wanted: Ashley Summers

Ashley Summers disappeared at age 14 and would be 21 now. She has brown hair with blue eyes and is 5'5" tall and 130 pounds. She is also said to have a tattoo with the name "Gene" in black ink over a red heart on her right arm -- anybody with information is urged to phone the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

The real Summers originally vanished from the same neighborhood where sadistic Ariel Castro once held three young women captive; imprisoning and repeatedly raping them for over a decade before they finally escaped his dungeon.

Castro committed suicide in 2013 while jailed and his house of horrors was ultimately leveled. He always insisted that Summers was not one of his victims, but, until the clips of her doppelganger emerged this year, the FBI thought he may have simply been lying.
