A toddler who survived a single-car crash that took the life of her Mom has been having nightmares and day terrors ever since, and now her Dad believes these episodes reveal the fatal collision was not an accident.
Virginia police originally told Craig Tyler that his wife “lost control” of her Ford Explorer last February and died when the motor vehicle slipped off the icy road and “struck a tree.”
But, from the moment the woman was buried, their 3-year-old daughter has been dreaming of a “white van” which the terrified child has repeatedly asserted “hurt” the car she was riding in that day.
And, more peculiar still, is that the little girl has recently developed a morbid fear of all white unmarked box-trucks, as a result.
"For weeks, she's been having nightmares about a white van,” her father Craig told ABC News, but lately, he says, those fears have been permeating his daughter’s waking hours as well.
"It's gotten to the point that when there were two white vans parked outside her school, she didn't want to go to school," he said, adding that the problem has become so bad he’s seeking a counselor to treat the youngster for post traumatic stress.
More importantly though, Tyler Craig wants the fatal “single-vehicle accident” immediately reinvestigated for foul play, especially because a few other motorists in his area have also been sideswiped by a similar cargo van.
The county police department has stated that it’s aware of those newer incident reports and investigating any possible link, but that the tragic crash that left Tyler’s wife dead and his daughter motherless is still believed to have been accidental.
Interestingly, it’s not the first fatal traffic incident this year which involved an eerie element and a small child: First responders in Utah say they discovered a baby girl trapped in a partially submerged wreck was still alive only because “a woman’s ghostly voice” beckoned them for “help.”
And the supernatural speaker couldn’t have been the other occupant, the still-spooked officers insist -- the crash had killed the child’s mother instantly.
