British officials have confirmed that missing U.S. stockbroker Josh Sanchez-Maldonado is the man found dead last week at a London railway.
The 24-year-old San Franciscan disappeared on or before October 22nd while visiting England on a business trip.
His body was discovered near the train station not far from his hotel in the Feltham district.
Mr. Sanchez-Maldonado is the second young man to die on that stretch of tracks in a one-week period:
On October 24th, the body of a 17-year-old youth who had just attended the Rugby World-Cup semifinal at Twickenham was also discovered at the Feltham station stop, crushed by a train.
British Transport Police said the first fatality was “currently being treated as non-suspicious” pending autopsy results; and verified that the second victim later found near the same location was the missing American trader.
"We can confirm that the person found dead to the line close to Feltham station on Thursday, October 29, is Josh Sanchez-Maldonado, aged 24,” a BTP spokesman said.
Anyone with any information about either case is urged to contact the BTP at 0800-40-50-40 or via text message to 61016.
