MISSING PERSONS ALERT: Nick Stevens, 22, San Clemente - California

Investigators are seeking leads in the 22-year-old man’s “suspicious” disappearance as he was walking alongside Avenido Pico toward his apartment less than two miles down the road.

Stevens allegedly spent that prior evening visiting “with coworkers” at a bar, but police say that how he could then “fall off the face of the earth” is still a mystery they’re trying to solve.

In the meantime, the missing man’s social media accounts have all gone dark, and there has been no activity on his phone or bank cards either.

More troubling still is that searchers with K-9s found a body yesterday in a flood control canal near the grounds of the San Clemente High School, although the victim has not been identified yet.

A recent graduate of the University of West Virginia, Nick Stevens relocated to San Clemente CA a few months ago for career reasons and doesn’t have any close connections there.

He is of slight build and is thought to have been wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and two-tone athletic shoes on the day he vanished.

Stevens is an identical twin and expected to fly home to his family for the upcoming holiday season -- anyone with information about his missing persons case is asked to alert Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
