ALERT: Eric Kohler, a 27-year-old Hollywood special effects pro, mysteriously vanished from Los Angeles County just days before he was expected to spend Thanksgiving with his family.
He was last sighted on November 24th near the 1700 block of El Segundo Boulevard leaving work in an unlicensed dark Range Rover with ‘Hornbug’ auto-dealership plates attached.
Surveillance cams later captured images of him pulling into a shopping center at South Western Avenue and Imperial Highway in Westmont, then driving away again, apparently alone.
Kohler’s parents reported their son missing shortly after that, when he failed to either show up for the holidays as planned or to call them.
This industrious young man has produced FX for such blockbuster films as The Avengers, X-Men and World War Z, so his sudden disappearance and lack of contact is considered uncharacteristic.
The family of Eric Kohler therefore fear “something bad happened” to prevent him from fulfilling his commitments last month, although a police spokesperson has indicated that the LAPD doesn’t yet suspect foul play.
Kohler left behind his wallet, laptop and other personal belongings when he vanished without a trace late last month -- anyone with information that can help solve his missing persons case is urged to alert detectives at 213-484-6700.
