Five Curious Killings in Modesto CA

Jul 20, 2015

Police are being tightlipped about five curious killings in Modesto CA over the weekend, even though the prime suspect is now in custody and the public is “safe.”

Investigators were seeking 30-year-old Martin Martinez as a person-of-interest in the mass murder of a family of females ranging from a pair of adults to an infant -- all of whom were reportedly “related.”

Martinez was finally intercepted and arrested Sunday en route to San Jose.

The allegedly “gruesome” crime he is thought to have committed occurred sometime last week in what was formerly regarded as a peaceful neighborhood in the Modesto California region.

Sadder still, one of the slain little girls was the suspected killer’s own daughter, homicide detectives at the crime scene have confirmed, adding that “the children inside range from ages six months to six years.”

Information on Martinez’s relationship to the victims beyond this is still sketchy however, and police have been just as guarded about how the family members died and the motive for their slayings.

"No motive or cause of death will be released at this time," they’ve repeatedly informed clamoring reporters.

Adding to the puzzle over the curious killings in Modesto CA, a man speaking with the San Francisco Chronicle claimed to be an ex-husband of one of the victims.

According to Tim Ripley, the murdered woman’s name is Dr. Amanda Crews, an area physician well known for her “work with low income patients” who, Ripley says, recently had a baby by Martin Martinez.

But none of the names of the murdered females have been officially released yet, and the Modesto multiple murder investigation is “ongoing.”
