Charles Hustmyre 

Charles Hustmyre has been a law enforcement officer since 1981 and an ATF special agent since 1991. He is a recipient of ATF's Hostile Action Award and the Distinguished Service Medal for rescuing a wounded agent during a shootout. During his career he has been assigned to the New Orleans Police Department's Violent Offender Warrant Squad, the FBI Gang Task Force, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and the ATF/NOPD Safe Home Task Force -- a specialized unit targeting violent crime in public housing.

He has written both fiction and nonfiction including the recently published true-crime Killer With A Badge (November 2004.) His writing has appeared in Gothic.Net; Law & Order; Tactical Response; Nefarious--Tales of Mystery; American Health & Fitness; Hustler; and Nightclub & Bar magazine.

New! Killer Behind a Badge. The psychiatrist who interviewed Antoinette Frank for the New Orleans Police Department said she was too emotionally unstable to become a police officer.
