Police Stops Are Down; So Is Murder

It has been a matter of dogma that the stops helped drive down murder in New York, but the record in 2012 calls that presumption into serious question. Cutting the number of stops has not, so far, led to more killings. That's not surprising: most of ...

Dad, son face separate sexual assault charges (Jaffrey, New Hampshire)

Dastardly Dads - Tue, 02/05/2013 - 18:43
I disagree. I humbly submit that being raised by a rapist daddy has everything to do with Sonny turning out the same way. Funny how we'll give Daddy credit when the son emulates the father in a good way, but deny deny deny that fathers ever teach their son misogyny and violence against women.

The rapist daddy"role model" is identified as JASON CZEKALSKI.

Father and son face separate sex assault charges

Posted: Tuesday, February 5, 2013 12:00 pm | Updated: 10:35 am, Tue Feb 5, 2013.

By Danielle Rivard Sentinel Staff

The son of a Rindge lawyer accused of sexually assaulting a child in the 1990s was indicted on unrelated sex assault charges.

Luke Czekalski, 26, of Jaffrey is charged with seven counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault on a child.

On Oct. 9, Jaffrey police received a report of a possible sexual assault. After an investigation, police arrested Luke Czekalski on Oct. 30, alleging he sexually assaulted a 6-year-old girl.

It is unclear from court documents how many times the alleged assaults occurred.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, it is a determination by a grand jury that there is enough evidence to go to trial. Meanwhile, a separate months-long investigation conducted by Rindge and State Police led to the Jan. 25 arrest of Luke Czekalski’s father, Jason A. Czekalski, 51, at his home in Rindge.

Jason Czekalski is charged with one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault and two counts of felonious sexual assault.

Jason Czekalski engaged in a pattern of sexual contact with an 11-year-old child he knew between March 1993 and December 1995, according to court documents. His case has since been forwarded to Cheshire County Superior Court.

Police say the alleged incidents are unrelated.

Luke’s issues had nothing to do with the father,” Jaffrey Police Chief William J. Oswalt said in an interview.

Both men are being held at the Cheshire County jail in Keene.

Shahdol villagers block highway demanding arrest of 'killer father'

TNN | Feb 6, 2013, 03.54 AM IST BHOPAL:

Angry residents blocked national highway at Shahdol after placing the dead body of a 12-year-old child whose body was found from a river on Tuesday. They alleged that the child was abducted and killed by his father and alleged inaction by police.

The body of the boy was found at Sarfa village of Shahdol and was identified as Sonu son of Mohan Pal. Sonu's father had left him after death of his mother and the child was living with his maternal grandfather, Gajadhar Pal at Lalpur village, said sources.

The child was reported missing on January 27 and a missing report was filed with Sehore Kotwali police station.

In their written complaint to police on Tuesday, villagers alleged that the father of Sonu, with whom minor had some legal issues, didn't liked him and he had abducted him on January 27. It was only after the police officials assured action on the basis of the post-mortem report that the highway blockage could be cleared, added sources.

Causes of Death Determined in Johns Creek Murder-Suicide

Police found bodies at Johns Creek apartment complex on Monday.

By Ann Marie Quill Updated, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 5:15 p.m.:

The causes of death in the murder-suicide that claimed the lives of a family of four in a Johns Creek apartment complex were hanging, injury by sharp objects and blunt force trauma, said Police Chief Ed Densmore on Tuesday.

The two children, Sartaj and Gurtej Grover, died from homicide by sharp force injuries to the neck; their mother, Damanjit "Daisy" Kaur Grover, died from homicide by blunt force trauma to the head; and the father, Shivinder Singh Grover, died from suicide by hanging.

"I'd like to first give our condolences to the Grover family for the tragic situation they suffered," Densmore said. The "Fulton County Medical Examiner gave his ruling a short time ago which confirmed our initial suspicion yesterday . . . that is was a murder-suicide."

Densmore said that investigators are still on the scene at Aylesbury Apartments and that a motive has not yet been released. He also did not give a time nor date of death.

Updated, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 9:40 a.m.:

The bodies of a family of four found dead at Aylesbury Farm Apartments in Johns Creek on Monday have been identified as Shivinder Singh Grover, 52 (male); Damanjit Kaur Grover, 47 (female); Sartaj Singh Grover, 12 (male); and Gurtej Singh Grover, 5 (male), by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office.

While Johns Creek Police said Monday that the deaths are the result of an apparent murder-suicide, a representative from the ME's office told Patch that the autopsy is being conducted this morning and an official cause of death is expected to be released this afternoon.

Meanwhile, WSB TV reports that friends gathered at the family's worship place, Sikh Gurudwara in Roswell, to mourn Monday evening.
