Canada – Toronto police are looking for four female suspects who they say allegedly sexually assaulted a 19-year-old man.

The incident happened during the early morning hours after the man met the four women at a nightclub near King Street and University Avenue.

The man left the club with the women who offered to drive him home, according to a written statement from Toronto police.

“The complainant was instead driven to a parking lot in the area of Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue where he was sexually assaulted by all four suspects,” said the statement. Full Article

North Carolina – Sam Grant nearly celebrated his eighth birthday party in jail.

The North Carolina boy had been charged with two felony counts of discharging his BB gun.

The parents of a then-seven-year-old North Carolina boy are beyond angry after their son was charged with two felony counts of possessing a BB gun.

Just moments before the child was expected to answer to the allegations before a Catawba County judge the charges were dropped.


Sam’s parents, Ray and Cherry Robbins told Fox News they are both relieved and angry over what happened to their son.

“They considered his BB gun a firearm,” Ray said. “It’s not a firearm. It’s a BB gun.” Full Article

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – A Good Samaritan speaks out about how she and her fiance helped a man being beaten by teenagers on the Northside.

A witness who does not want to reveal her identity for fear of her safety says she was driving down Soutel Drive near Lem Turner Road with her fiance and saw a group of teenagers beating a man.

“We seen a whole bunch of African-American kids you know, beating and stomping on an elderly Caucasian guy and he had bags and everything, he couldn’t even defend himself because it was so many kids,” said the anonymous witness.

The witness says she immediately dialed 911 and turned around to go help the man.

The victim told police that he was approached from behind and was beaten with a stick, the witness says at one point he was just laying flat on the ground and almost looked like he had crawled out to the road where people could see him. Full Article

Bond for a 64-year-old woman who allegedly paid her grandson to kill her husband was set at $500,000 Saturday.

Janet Strickland of Chicago was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of armed robbery with a firearm after her husband was fatally shot in the gangway near his home on the Far South Side while on his way to dialysis, police said.

William Strickland, 72, was shot six times in the back on March 2 while on his way to dialysis treatment in what police suspected to be a robbery.  More

Tennessee – A Tennessee woman was arrested by police – after she tricked her sister into thinking she had killed her husband.

“I was doing an April Fools’ Joke,” Susan Tammy Hudson, 52, told WKPT 19.

“I said, ‘Helen, I shot my husband, I’m cleaning up the mess, let’s go bury him in Blackwater’.”

But the joke backfired when another relative ended up calling the local Kingsport police department.

Officers arrived at Mrs Hudson’s home and took her into custody, according to Times News. Full Article

An arrest has been made months after a woman in her 60s was attacked and raped. The suspect is only 15 years old.

The assault happened in early February and Sacramento sheriff’s detectives finally linked evidence at the scene to the teenager.

“My mom and our family is very lucky that he didn’t kill her,” the victim’s son, who wished to remain anonymous, said.

His 64-year-old mother thought she was safe in her own home until she was brutally attacked, raped and robbed inside her south Sacramento apartment.  More

SANTA FE, New Mexico – A former New Mexico shoe salesman accused of biting off part of his girlfriend’s toe has been arrested again, this time for allegedly stalking the woman and trying to cut off her big toe with a cigar cutter.

Santa Fe police say the incident was the third attack by 27-year-old Daniel Anaya on his now ex-girlfriend, who has moved to Albuquerque and had obtained a restraining order against him after two previous toe-biting incidents.

Police say Anaya, who used to work as a shoe salesman at a department store, tracked down the woman at her new home and attacked her, but she was able to fight back with a metal fork and escape. Full Article

Florida man was in custody Friday on charges of threatening to kill President Barack Obama and the entire local sheriff's department, authorities said.

The man, Stanley Scott Viner, 48, of Lehigh Acres, was held on $200,000 bond in the Lee County jail after his arrest Thursday, court records showed.

Viner is accused of having sent a long, expletive-filled email message to sheriff's deputies threatening to kill Obama. The writer referred to himself as God and said he also intended to kill a Lee County deputy "and his family then the entire Lee County Sheriff's Department," according to the arrest report. More

JACKSON, Miss. – A murder suspect wrestled a gun away from the detective interrogating him at police headquarters in Mississippi's capital, then fatally shot the officer before killing himself, authorities said Friday.

Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain said Friday that 23-year-old Jeremy Powell seized the gun from Jackson Police Detective Eric Smith in a third-floor interrogation room.
Smith, 40, had been with the agency nearly 20 years, was physically fit and was praised for his work leading numerous high-profile murder investigations, officials said.  More
